After four years of research I managed to make the Night King. I did that forgetting all the preconceptions about the type of material, and after living me behind the fear of making mistakes and throwing away hours of work.
I also managed to do plaster molds of the watermelons with my father, so I can sell them.

From Watermelon Into Plaster
In 2016 when I first made the Knight King, I had a sense of sadness thinking it wouldn’t get to last long. I risked everithing, and I made the plaster cast.

Is more difficult to find the right avocado than to carve one, because if you get the wrong one, the things can get complicated.
I choose the Pokémon as models because I was looking for some kawaii characters. I made Pikachu, Snorlax, Chansey, Gasly and Tangela because I wanted to make good use of the seed.

If you want to start carving, I suggest you to use pumpkin and potatoes first. They are easily manipulable.
The only problem with the pumpkin is that it’s empty inside, so you have a limited surface to work with. Before starting, it is important to choose the right one.
The most famous pumpkin sculpture I made is the Joker, who got over 5milion views on the internet.
