In August, after finishing the Alien, I started doing another sculpture for the “La Fabbrica dei Mostri” music festival.
I wanted to do another dragon since ages (an improved one) with a watermelon, but I never had time for it.
After making various sketches and having them lost, the day I was supposed to do it I spent all my time doing another one, triyng to recreate the one that didn’t soddisfied me enough, but I’ve obviously forgot all the details.

ITA : Ad Agosto, il giorno dopo aver terminato l’alieno, ho iniziato a scolpire un altra anguria per il festival “La Fabbrica Dei Mostri“.
Erano secoli che cercavo di scolpire un altro drago(migliore di quelli precedenti) con un anguria, ma non trovavo mai il tempo.
Dopo aver fatto diverse bozze ed averle smarrite, il giorno in cui avrei dovuto iniziare a scolpire, ho perso del tempo a farne un’altra, cercando di ricrearla come l’ultima che mi soddisfaceva, ma ovviamente ho dimenticato come avevo realizzato molti dettagli.

It took me for about 20 hours (divided in 2 days non stop work) only for the head, but this time I added the horns, and the hair, like I did with the T-Rex’s teeth.
I did the body during the last day of the festival, being helped a bit by Ulderico, zi’ Fiore and Fabrizio.
My brother gave me the idea, even if I tought of doing it myself, but I was not so sure of doing it or not.
This year I’ll try to improve the prototype.

ITA: La lavorazione della testa nel complesso è durata almeno 20 ore divise in 2 giorni no stop e questa volta ho innestato le corna e i peli come i denti del t-rex.
Il corpo l’ho realizzato nell’ultima sera dell’evento, con l’aiuto di Ulderico, Zi’Fiore e Fabrizio in modo molto easy, dopo che mio fratello mi ha proposto quest idea, non sapendo che l’avevo gia pensata, ma non ero sicuro della cosa.
Quest anno organizzandomi bene cercherò di migliorare questo prototipo.

Here’s the video. I publish it now because I was waiting the soundtrack of a Molise (Italy) band, that never come. For not having to wait much longer, I choose to use “Presence” by Ninive, another Molise band, now divided, and I thank them for allowing me to use this awesome song.

ITA: Ecco il video, che pubblico solo ora perchè aspettavo la traccia musicale di una band Molisana, che non è mai arrivata, quindi per non aspettare ulteriormente ho scelto “Presence” dei Ninive, un’altra band molisana, ora sciolta, che colgo l’occasione di ringraziare.
